Big things have small beginnings. We start the first blog for this site with Na Kuha, one of the most beautiful attractions in Phrae.

Na Kuha is a small village in the mountains of Phrae which is located in an extremely beautiful valley. It is maybe a 30 minutes drive per car or scooter from downtown Phrae.

The temple and it's buddha statue are one of the main attractions, you can walk over the rice fields from the buddha statue via a bamboo walkway, making for some really attractive photo opportunities.

At the temple you have some opportunities to eat some local food like Somtam and Khanom chin.

Walking over the walkway will bring you to a small mountain which you can climb and which also has two caves to explore. But beware, there is no supervision and the caves are not secured. You have been warned.

Walking up the base of the hill you will find the first cave, it's entrance is just a ladder into the ground and it's quite a bit scary climbing down. The cave itself is quite large and has no light at all, also beware of snakes.

Following the path up the hill to the top is maybe a 20-30 minute climb and offers some nice views into the valley.

Near the top is another cave which I did not enter as the entrance is quite small.

All in all Na Kuha is a great day trip and on the way you will also pass another very nice temple which I will write about shortly.

Enjoy and take care.
